On Tuesday the 5th of October, Heritage in schools Guest Speaker Tony Kenneally, came to school to share lots of information with us about birds of prey. We also did a Nature walk around the school grounds. We have learned lots about the leaves, trees, animals and changes that happen during Autumn.
During space week the children in 1st and 2nd class had great fun inventing their own planet!
For Math’s week, 16th – 24th of October the children enjoyed loop card games, riddles, board games, interactive math games and had so much fun. The children were learning key skills in Math’s without realising!
In the senior room we listened to an audio drama of “The Little Robber Girl” by Deirdre Dwyer. The children enjoyed getting involved in the different activities based around the story.
What a spooky end we had to our October……
We had very enjoyable online lesson was with the very talented illustrator, author and Graphic designer Alan Nolan where we created lots of fun Hallowe’en monsters.
On the 22nd of October, the children dressed up for Halloween raising money for Enable Ireland. The children enjoyed a Halloween scavenger Hunt, Musical Zombies, Cluiche Biongo on the day!
Everyone had a Spooktacular time in School!!
